unit was unique) and pre and post sales support.

| INTRANET DEVELOPMENT, PROGRAM MANAGER & INTERNET/INTRANET
ARCHITECT |
CTG |
- Directed the development of an Intranet application that
was a new graphical user interface (GUI) design for the client's product (CMDS).
The project was three months old and had challenges when I was asked to assume
the responsibility. After a three-week design review and progress analysis,
I reassigned some staff, subcontracted with a JAVA development firm and completed
the project on schedule.
- Directed the planning and initial execution of a Year 2000
compliance project that encompassed a large multi-state cross-functional team
organization.
- Architected a master plan commissioned by executive management
to implement and coordinate projects based on Intranet and employee ideas
to improve productivity and reduce cost. Initiated and directed this series
of highly complex projects and led the planning and estimating of tasks and
timelines.
- Negotiated with and influenced executive (board level) and
other management through frequent and regular meetings.
- Developed an integration strategy for the infrastructure
projects (First Security Bank) to align them with the corporate direction
and policy in an approved time frame using the cross-functional team process.
This "Master Plan" was actually a program management system containing
project plans with phases, milestones, tasks, and PERT charts.
- Developed an Intranet strategy for many First Security
branch functions and central processing. The bank data center was almost
entirely a manual operation. The number of staff required to operate this
environment was becoming prohibitive. The implementation of this strategy
began with a proof of concept, a pilot project, and continued through the
merger of Wells Fargo with First Security. Implemented comprehensive project
cost and budget controls that provided for weekly financial reporting.
- After having declared a disaster, the President of FSITI
asked me to lead a project replace their data center before the bank was
decertified by the OCC. Led a team of 135 people during this project. The
project was accomplished ahead of schedule and under budget.
- Developed a strategic plan and a tactical validation method
for corporate telecommuters to access client/server, image and e-mail applications
along with a "roll-out" of all new standardized desktops for a
6500 workstation environment.
