Who wrote the book?
John and Paula Williams have written for periodicals and books in the U.S. and India for over 15 years.
- John F. Williams has an MBA in International Business from the University of Utah and has worked as a hiring manager for Information Technology consulting firms including CTG and Syntel. He has worked with many people from many countries including India and Pakistan.
- Paula Williams has a Masters in Adult Education and B.S. in Mass Communications from the University of Utah. She has worked as a coach, mentor and trainer for new employees (including international employees) in the financial and telecom industry with companies such as Wells Fargo and Teleperformance.
In this book, they provide the information they wished they had available for people they've met from India to smooth their transition to life in the United States for any length of stay. For this book, John and Paula gathered a panel of experts who have come recently or as much as 10 years ago from India for school or work. Our panelists include a freight pilot, two students, an I.T. professional, two hiring managers and an educator. The insights from the panelists include a range of experiences, so that you can judge for yourself rather than relying on a single source for information about these topics.
